Blue Shed owners, Rod and Irena started their careers in the scalefishing and cray fishing industry and eventually decided to purchase the Captains Catch fish punt in 1998.

Captains Catch fish punt soon expanded and the couple found themselves selling cooked to order fish and chips and supplying an extensive range of Tasmanian local gourmet produce.

In May 2008 the decision was made to demolish the original building and Rod and Irena built the modern, fresh Blue Shed that now sits perched on the foreshore of Georges Bay with it’s million dollar views.
